The class was introduced to the Role of Technology and Media in Education. Then, we began to define the term "Technology".
"Technology" is not confined to computers, phones, etc. These are just tools that are used in the area of Information Technology but we were further enlightened that the course study doesn't just cover Information Technology (I.T.) but Information Communication Technology (I.C.T.). The term I.C.T refers to the technology that is used to communicate information. We went on to break down the word "technology" or simply just change it to a word that is commonly used: media.
We began to identify the six categories of media, they are:
We also covered that everything that we use to enhance learning is called technology.
At the end of our learning experience, we concluded that the role of technology and media in Education is essential to the holistic learning experience as it helps to improve efficient learning in communicating information to different types of learners.

Class went well, it was very informative and the lecturer had a lot of energy which kept us captivated despite the overwhelming information. She attacked the topic from different angles using different methods in order for us to get a better understanding which was effective at the end.
In the following class, the main tasks were:
- to answer the question, 'What is learning?';
- to discuss the types of learners/learning styles;
- to apply learning theories to the selection of instructional media and technology;
- to discuss Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligence.
First, we were asked to research the four types of learners which are: Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing and Kinesthetic. We were then asked to define each type of learner and the way in which each of them learn.
Before we continued the class time we received a very important quote, it says:
