- How to create blog.
- How to use blogging in the classroom.
Sub-tasks:
- Customizing my Blog
- Creating a URL
- Creating a Welcome post & pages
How to create blog... (http://hoseawiltshire.blogspot.com)
Select 'Create New Blog'. Then, enter Title, input an available blog address/url. Then select a fitting theme
Go to 'Post Tab', create a 'New Post', title it as welcome, put in the necessary information then select 'Publish'.
Select the pages tab on the dash board, navigate to the 'New Page' button, insert title and necessary information, lastly select 'Publish'. This week we were guided in creating our blog page (Welcome and 1st reflection).
This was the welcome page I created...
My challenge with this was that, although we were being guided, class was moving so fast that I didn't get to capture as much information as I wanted to because I was stuck with trying to complete my blog page.
The next class...
we were allowed to continue our blogging, at least completing the first week's reflection. This is a screenshot of my blog post for the first week:
Blogging can be used in the classroom for Lesson planning, Journaling/Reflecting, etc.
We were shown some examples of subject area blogs:
- Form 1 Language Blog;
- Form 1 Mathematics Blog;
- Form 1 Science Blog;
- Form 1 Agriculture Science Blog respectively.
We were also guided as to how to customize our Blog page.
- Select the "Customize" tab at the bottom of Blogger's Home page.
- Located on the left hand side of screen are a variety of options to customize your blog. Browse and customize accordingly.
My goal for this lesson was to finish customizing my Blog and I was successful in doing so. I don't remember having any challenges in this lesson.
